Phineas Nigellus Black: Headmaster of Hogwarts. He is a former Slytherin, and previously served as Hogwarts' History of Magic professor. He is a known opponent of mixed blood and Muggle-born wizards and witches' attending the school.
Madame Helena Blavatsky: Professor of Divination and head of House Hufflepuff. She is known in the Muggle world for her interest in spiritualism.
Chevalier Auguste Dupin: Professor of Potions and head of House Ravenclaw. He was a famed detective in Paris before coming to teach at Hogwarts.
Ada Lovelace: A staff member who built the school's Analytical Engine (one of the few in England!) and assists Professor Moriarty with his Arithmancy class.
